William Jackson Harper and Devyn Tyler Join Prison Thriller The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd

William Jackson Harper (The Good Place) and Devyn Tyler (Snowfall) have joined the ensemble cast of The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, a prison break thriller written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson.

They join previously announced leads Amanda Seyfried and Scoot McNairy in the high-stakes drama, which follows a schoolteacher trapped in an abusive marriage who takes a job at a maximum-security prison. There, she falls for a magnetic inmate, igniting a series of irreversible events that unravel ideas of love, punishment, and the limits of justice itself.

Nelson will also appear in the film, alongside new cast additions Missi Pyle (Captain Fantastic), Elizabeth Marvel (Presumed Innocent), and Grant Harvey (The Accountant 2). Character details for the newly announced actors remain under wraps.

The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd is currently in production in Georgia and is being produced by Julie Buck, Tim Blake Nelson, Ryan Bartecki, Miles David Romney, and Billy Hines. Executive producers include Christopher Hines, Gary Levinsohn, Molly C. Quinn, Matthew M. Welty, and Elan Gale, with John Mock and Vanessa Stewart serving as co-producers.

The film is backed by a slate of production companies including Co Created Media, V42 Fund, Nelson’s Red Barn Films, QWGmire (which is also a co-financier), and Story Mill Entertainment. Domestic rights are being co-repped by WME, V42, and D Squared Films.
