‘Yellowjackets’ Renewed for Season 4 Following Record-Breaking Third Season

The wilderness isn’t done with us just yet. Yellowjackets has officially been renewed for Season 4 at Paramount+ with Showtime.

The news comes about a month after Season 3 wrapped on April 13, continuing the momentum for the hit series that blends survival horror with psychological drama. Season 3 marked the show’s most-watched season to date, with its finale pulling in the highest viewership numbers in the series’ history across streaming and linear.

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets follows a high school girls’ soccer team whose plane crashes in the remote wilderness, forcing them into a brutal fight for survival. The story unfolds across two timelines—one in the aftermath of the crash and another nearly 25 years later, as the now-adult survivors deal with the trauma they never truly left behind. It’s a haunting, genre-bending saga that mixes coming-of-age tension with unsettling mystery and just enough chaos to keep audiences glued.

Season 3 starred Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell. Elijah Wood returned in a recurring role, while Hilary Swank, Joel McHale, and Ashley Sutton appeared as guest stars.

The show continues to be led by Lyle and Nickerson, along with co-showrunner Jonathan Lisco. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television for Showtime and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Production for Season 4 is expected to begin soon, but an official start date has yet to be announced.

For fans keeping score: the past isn’t done unraveling—and neither is this show.
