New update:
While we have no update on when ‘Young. Wild. Free.” will be released, Sanaa Lathan shared an image of the film on her IG. And included in the caption “coming soon.”
While coming soon can mean an unfixed time, it’s a good update seeing as ‘Young. Wild. Free’ premiered at Sundance Film Festival in January of this year. And recently premiered at the 27th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival.
We’ll update you on more information as it becomes available.

Algee Smith, Sanaa Lathan, Mike Epps, and Sierra Capri are starring in the upcoming film Young. Wild. Free. from MACRO Film Studios, Confluential Films, and No Label Productions.
The film centers on Smith’s Brandon, who struggling to provide for his younger siblings in Compton finds his life turned upside down when he’s held at gunpoint by the girl of his dreams.

Thembi Banks is attached to direct the film based on a script by Juel Taylor based on a story by Taylor and his “They Cloned Tyrone” co-writer Tony Rettenmaier, with revisions by Banks.
Taylor, Rettenmair, Banks and Lathan will executive produce the project alongside Confluential Films’ Codie Elaine Oliver, Prince Baggett and Charlotte Koh.
Macro Film Studios’ Charles D. King, James Lopez and Poppy Hanks are producing. As well as Confluential Films’ Tommy Oliver and No Label Productions’ Baron Davis.
