Netflix has officially announced the premiere date for its upcoming mini series Zero Day. The conspiracy thriller, starring Robert De Niro, Angela Basset and more will debut on Feb. 20, 2025, with six episodes diving into a world of political intrigue, cyber warfare, and personal secrets. Alongside the premiere announcement, Netflix has released a set of first-look images teasing the intense drama to come.
Zero Day boasts an impressive cast that includes Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Dan Stevens, and Matthew Modine. Guest appearances from Clark Gregg, McKinley Belcher III, Bill Camp, and Gaby Hoffmann further add to the intrigue.

In Zero Day, Angela Bassett takes on the role of President Mitchell, a sharp and perceptive political strategist closely aligned with former U.S. President George Mullen, played by De Niro. The series follows Mullen as he is called out of retirement to lead the Zero Day Commission in investigating a devastating cyberattack that has thrown the nation into chaos. As the hunt for truth intensifies, Mullen finds himself battling disinformation, power struggles, and personal demons.

Behind the Scenes
Zero Day is co-created by Eric Newman (Narcos), Noah Oppenheim (Jackie), and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Michael S. Schmidt. All three serve as executive producers, with Newman and Oppenheim also handling writing and showrunner duties. Robert De Niro joins as an executive producer in addition to his starring role, and Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland) directs and executive produces. Jonathan Glickman also serves as an executive producer.
