Alpha Gang tells the story of a group of alien invaders, disguised as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang, on a mission to conquer Earth. According to the film’s synopsis, “Disguised in human form as an armed and dangerous 1950’s leather-clad biker gang, they show no mercy… until they catch the most toxic, contagious human disease of all: emotion.”
In Alpha Gang, Blanchett takes on the role of the gang’s indomitable leader, with the new cast additions playing gang members. Kravitz will reunite with her Mad Max: Fury Road co-star, Riley Keough. Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Dune), Channing Tatum (Deadpool 3), Léa Seydoux (No Time to Die), and Steven Yeun (Beef, Minari) round out the ensemble cast.

The Zellners have recruited cinematographer Mike Gioulakis for the project, known for his collaborations with Jordan Peele (Us), M. Night Shyamalan (Split), and David Robert Mitchell (It Follows). Gioulakis’ eye for heightened visuals is expected to add a surreal dimension to the film’s already quirky premise.
The film’s production team is equally robust, with the Zellner brothers producing for ZBi alongside Blanchett and Coco Francini for Dirty Films, Gina Gammell for Felix Culpa, Ryan Zacarias for Fat City, and Andrea Bucko for Sugar Rush Pictures. Alpha Gang is presented by Rabbits Black, with executive producers Sean Krajewski, Ronnie Exley, Lawrence Minicone, and Jeremy Ross. Additional executive production support comes from Tyler Peters and Sophie Curtis of Electric Void, and Tom Ogden in association with Aloe Entertainment’s partners at Partners in Kind, Gillian Hormel, and Shelly Tygielski.
As the Zellners build on the momentum of their Sundance success with Sasquatch Sunset, Alpha Gang aims to bring a blend of satire, sci-fi, and emotional complexity to the screen in a way that will resonate with audiences. Keep an eye out for this project as production kicks off next year.
