Lionsgate is launching the sale of its upcoming thriller “Boneyard’ starring 50 Cent and Mel Gibson at Cannes Film Festival. “Boneyard” which is currently in production is based on true crime events surrounding the notorious serial killer known as the Bone Collector.
The movie follows FBI Special Agent Petrovick, played by the legendary Mel Gibson, who is enlisted to profile the elusive serial killer responsible for the infamous “boneyard” killings. Police Chief Carter, portrayed by the dynamic Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, discovers the remains of eleven women, setting off a high-stakes investigation where the police force, narcotics agency, and FBI find themselves locked in a battle of wits, turning everyone into a potential suspect.

Directed by Asif Akbar, known for his work on “The Commando,” and with a screenplay by Vincent E. McDaniel, Hank Byrd, and Koji Steven Sakai, based on a story by Vincent E. McDaniel, “Boneyard” boasts a talented creative team. Producers Colin Bates, Vincent E. McDaniel, Asif Akbar, and Roy Scott Macfarland bring their expertise to ensure the film’s success.
In addition to his role in “Boneyard,” Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues his successful partnership with Lionsgate and Millennium Media for the highly anticipated action-thriller “Expen4bles,” scheduled for release this September. He is also set to star in “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” and serves as an executive producer for the Power franchise on Starz, including “Power Book II: Ghost.”
Mel Gibson, a versatile actor and filmmaker, will also grace the small screen with the Peacock series “The Continental,” set in the thrilling world of the “John Wick” franchise. Gibson recently announced his directorial role in Lionsgate’s “Flight Risk,” starring Mark Wahlberg.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is represented by APA and Savva Entertainment, while Mel Gibson is represented by APA and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson. Their involvement in “Boneyard” further solidifies the film’s star power and appeal.
