The team behind the upcoming crime romance “Marmalade,” starring Aldis Hodge, Joe Keery, and Camila Morrone, released the trailer. Directed by Keir O’Donnell, who is making his directorial debut, the film is based on his own script and scheduled for release in theatesr and on VOD on February 9, 2024.
“Marmalade” follows the story of Baron (played by Joe Keery), a recently incarcerated individual who forms an unlikely friendship with his cellmate Otis (Aldis Hodge), a seasoned expert in prison breaks. Together, they devise an escape plan, with Baron reminiscing about how he met Marmalade (Camila Morrone), the love of his life. The narrative unfolds as Baron recounts their daring “Bonnie and Clyde” style scheme to rob a bank, driven by the desire to care for his ailing mother and create the life they’ve always envisioned.

The film is made in association with Jason Shapiro of US management company Silver Lining Entertainment. Polly Morgan worked as the cinematographer on the project.
