Urban One has unveiled the lineup of honorees for the upcoming “Urban One Honors,” scheduled to be recorded on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, GA. The two-hour telecast, themed “Best in Black,” is set to premiere during Black History Month on Sunday, February 25, 2024, on TV One and simulcast on CLEO TV.
“Urban One Honors” serves as a grand celebration of Black Excellence, recognizing individuals whose remarkable achievements and significant contributions have made a lasting impact on the arts, media, music, and the community. Among this year’s distinguished recipients are Dionne Warwick, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Chlöe, celebrated as the Generation Next Honoree; Frankie Beverly, recognized as a Living Legend; and Donald Lawrence, acclaimed for his Inspirational Impact.

Michelle Rice, President of TV One and CLEO TV, expressed excitement about the honorees, stating, “As we unveil the lineup for this year’s ‘Urban One Honors,’ we are delighted to highlight the incredible musical journeys of Dionne Warwick, Chlöe, Frankie Beverly, and Donald Lawrence. Their selection as honorees is a recognition of their profound impact on both music and culture, spanning generations.”
The star-studded lineup of performers and presenters includes Teyana Taylor, Bebe Winans, Damon Little, Angie Stone, October London, and a special reunion featuring KeKe Wyatt, Chanté Moore, and Nicci Gilbert from the cast of R&B Divas. Additional names are expected to be announced. The event will be hosted by GRAMMY™ Award-winning singer and actress LeToya Luckett, who returns to host the “Backstage Pass” segment, featuring exclusive interviews with honorees, performers, and presenters.

The 2024 “Urban One Honors: Best In Black” is presented by TV One, marking the official kickoff celebration for TV One’s 20th Anniversary. Throughout the year, the network plans to roll out special programming, retrospectives, behind-the-scenes content, and commemorative events, showcasing iconic moments that have defined TV One over the past two decades.
“Urban One Honors” is produced for TV One by James Seppelfrick of The Cheat Code, with Marilyn Gill as the Executive Producer. Myriam Leger will serve as Director, and Daniel Moore as Music Director. Kashon Powell is the Vice President of Programming for Radio One, and Susan Henry is the Executive Producer in Charge of Production for TV One.
