Philadelphia has a problem. The police chief’s son is dead, it looks like a drug deal gone wrong, and the only people who can get to the bottom of it are the ones willing to go all the way under.
Johnell Young, Erica Peeples, Robert Ri’chard and Terayle Hill lead the cast of D.O.P.E. Unit, the new ALLBLK crime drama created by Thomas Walton, which just dropped its official trailer ahead of its October 6 premiere. The cast also includes Dennis L.A. White, Trae Ireland, Jhoné Lucas, Jaime Zevallos, Casper Van Dien, Jenna Nolen and Ty Dolla $ign.
The series follows an elite undercover unit assigned by the Philadelphia police chief to go undercover and infiltrate the criminal world after his son is found murdered in what appears to be a drug deal gone wrong.
Young plays J’Von Dorsey, a flashy undercover detective with his sights locked on bringing the powerful Roth family down. Peeples plays Briana, the formidable head of the family, while Ri’chard plays her brother Zeke Williams, described as ruthless and unhinged. Hill rounds out the core four as Detective Washington, a family man whose street knowledge runs deep.
The series is produced by Safier Entertainment. D.O.P.E. Unit premieres October 6 on ALLBLK.
