The fourth and final season of the post-apocalyptic drama series “Snowpiercer” is gearing up for its premiere on AMC and AMC+, marking its new home after being acquired by the network. AMC announced on Tuesday that the season will kick off on Sunday, July 21 at 9 pm ET/PT, along with releasing a sneak peek with first-look photos from Season 4.

Originally produced by Tomorrow Studios, “Snowpiercer” found a new home at AMC after being canceled by TNT in 2022 as part of a broader content strategy by Warner Bros. Discovery. Based on the graphic novel series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, as well as the film by Oscar-winner Bong Joon Ho (“Parasite”), “Snowpiercer” has captured audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar cast. The series stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Mike O’Malley, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, along with newly announced cast members Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov for Season 4.

Set in a frozen wasteland where the remnants of humanity live aboard a massive, perpetually moving train, “Snowpiercer” delves into themes of class warfare, social injustice, and survival politics. Season 3 concluded with a split in the train’s population, with Melanie Cavill (played by Jennifer Connelly) leading one faction and Andre Layton (played by Daveed Diggs) leading another towards the unknown outside world.

Courtney Thomasma, Executive Vice President of Streaming for AMC Networks, expressed excitement about sharing the final season with fans and newcomers alike. She highlighted the series’ entertainment value and the anticipation surrounding how the narrative will conclude.

The final season of “Snowpiercer” is executive produced by a team including Paul Zbyszewski, Christoph Schrewe, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alissa Bachner, Matthew O’Connor, Ben Rosenblatt, Scott Derrickson, and the original film’s producers.
