MS NOW has announced that award-winning journalist Antonia Hylton will host a new weekend program, The Assignment with Antonia Hylton, premiering Saturday, September 12. The show will air Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. ET.
Based in New York, the program will serve as a weekend destination for political and cultural headlines, pairing field reporting with conversations from leading lawmakers and changemakers. The show marks Hylton’s first solo anchoring role at the network, where she joined in April 2025 as a reporter and co-anchor of The Weekend: Primetime.
Hylton’s recent work includes MS NOW’s Cities Under Siege series, which examined the impact of the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement tactics on families and communities across the country. On The Assignment, she will continue taking viewers beyond the headlines and into how the biggest stories shaping the country are affecting people’s lives.
A Murrow, Peabody and two-time Emmy Award winner, Hylton received a Scripps Howard Award for Excellence in Radio/Podcast Coverage and was a Pulitzer Prize for Audio Reporting finalist for her work on the podcast Southlake. She was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2020 and in 2024 published the New York Times bestseller Madness: Race and Insanity in a Jim Crow Asylum.
Joy Fowlin serves as executive producer. The Assignment with Antonia Hylton premieres September 12 on MS NOW.
