Created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein, Shrinking centers around Jimmy Laird, played by Segel, a therapist grappling with grief after the loss of his wife. In his quest for healing, Jimmy begins to throw out conventional therapy rules, sharing unfiltered thoughts with his clients and inadvertently catalyzing significant changes in their lives—and his own. Harrison Ford stars as Jimmy’s mentor, Paul, providing guidance amid the chaos.

The ensemble cast also includes Jessica Williams as co-worker Gaby, Michael Urie as Jimmy’s best friend Brian, and Lukita Maxwell as Jimmy’s daughter, Alice. The second season features guest appearances, including a cameo by co-creator Goldstein.

Shrinking follows the life of Jimmy as he navigates both his personal struggles and the complex lives of his clients, all while trying to rebuild his relationship with his daughter. The series aims to blend humor and heartfelt moments, making it a standout addition to the Apple TV+ lineup.

The second season of Shrinking debuted on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes available for streaming.
