Ayo Edebiri to Make SNL Hosting Debut — Jennifer Lopez to Perform


Ayo Edebiri, fresh off her recent Emmy win for her role in FX’s “The Bear,” is set to make her debut as the host of Saturday Night Live on February 3. The talented actress, who has also contributed as a writer for shows like Big Mouth and Dickinson, has been gaining recognition for her comedic prowess.

Joining Edebiri on the SNL stage is the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez, who will serve as the musical guest. This marks Lopez’s fifth appearance on the iconic show, having previously hosted in 2019 after her notable role in the film Hustlers.

Edebiri’s career trajectory includes stand-up comedy, writing for various comedy shows, and now, a coveted spot as the host of SNL. She has not only showcased her acting skills in The Bear but has also made notable contributions to the entertainment industry through her writing.

Lopez, a seasoned performer, is set to release her first album in over a decade, titled “This Is Me… Now,” on February 16. Accompanying the album is a feature film on Amazon Prime Video, providing a narrative-driven reflection on her journey to find love. This follows her previous album, A.K.A., released in 2014.

The most recent episode of “SNL” was hosted by Jacob Elordi with musical guest Reneé Rapp. Up next on Jan. 27, Dakota Johnson will host alongside musical guest Justin Timberlake.
