Netflix dropped some new images and the release date for its action-thriller ‘Back in Action,; featuring Hollywood veterans Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. Set to premiere on November 15, 2024, this project marks a significant return for both Foxx and Diaz. Foxx is a year post his scary life-threatening illness and Diaz is back from a prolonged hiatus from acting.
Interestingly Diaz took a break from acting after her last film in 2014, where she starred alongside Foxx in “Annie.”
In “Back in Action,” Foxx and Diaz portray Emily and Matt, former CIA agents who retired from the spy life to focus on their family. However, their peaceful life takes a thrilling turn when they are drawn back into the world of espionage after their cover is exposed. The film promises a blend of heart-pounding action and family drama, adding to Netflix’s diverse lineup of original content.
Alongside Foxx and Diaz, the film stars Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.
Back in Action is directed by Seth Gordon, known for his work on “Horrible Bosses” and “The Night Agent,” and co-written with Brendan O’Brien
Producers are Jenno Topping, Peter Chernin and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett for Chernin Entertainment, Beau Bauman for Good One Productions and Gordon for Exhibit A. Foxx, O’Brien, Datari Turner and Tim Lewis executive produce.
