Netflix has set August 27 as the premiere date for Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black Season 3, releasing the first look images alongside the announcement. The eight-episode season arrives with added excitement following Netflix’s recent surprise announcement that the show has already been renewed for a fourth season, a notable reversal given that Season 3 was originally billed as the series finale when it was announced in December 2025.
Season 3 picks up with Kimmie finally earning a seat at the Bellarie table, only for a deadly family feud to erupt and force her into an uneasy alliance with Mallory. Together they navigate a ruthless world of blackmail, revenge and buried secrets as the family wages war against one of its own, threatening to bring the entire empire crashing down.
The series stars Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield and Debbi Morgan.
Beauty in Black originally premiered in 2024 and has been one of Netflix’s most consistent global performers. Season 1 spent seven weeks in the Global Top 10 and reached number one in 28 countries, while Season 2 spent six weeks in the Global Top 10 and reached number one in 17 countries.
Perry serves as creator, writer, executive producer and director, with Angi Bones and Tony Strickland producing for Tyler Perry Studios.
