The Ndlovu family is not done fighting. Netflix has released the official trailer for Blood Legacy Season 2, with all 20 new episodes dropping globally on September 25.
Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of a devastating Season 1 finale that left Khanyi Adesina under arrest, framed for her father’s murder by her own uncle Vusi Ndlovu. With external enemies growing more aggressive and Spear Industries’ reputation on the line, Khanyi and her brothers must set aside their fierce sibling rivalries to keep the family and the empire intact.
The South African drama, adapted from the 2019 Spanish series Monarca and created by Diego Gutiérrez, centers on Khanyi (Xolile Tshabalala), who returns home after her father, the head of sugarcane empire Spear Industries, is found murdered in the fields of KwaZulu-Natal. What follows is a high-stakes battle for control of the company, tangled in corporate corruption, political maneuvering and family betrayal.
The cast includes Anthony Oseyemi as Khanyi’s husband Akin, Buyile Mdladla and Mike Ndlangamandla as her brothers Mandla and Siya, Pallance Dladla as Zakhele, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa as Gabisile, Thabiso Ramotshela as Nido, Dineo Rasedile as Amahle and Treasure Nkosi as patriarch Bhekisizwe.
Season 1 ended with the truth of the patriarch’s murder finally surfacing, only for Vusi to outmaneuver Khanyi at every turn, framing her for the crime while revealing that Mandla had been behind the burning of the family’s sugarcane fields and had allied with the dangerous criminal syndicate A6 to orchestrate the assassination of a South African presidential candidate.
