Marvel’s Captain America 4, led by Anthony Mackie, faces a nine-month delay. The film, titled “Brave New World,” will now hit theaters later than originally planned due to the resolution of the actors’ strike.

“Captain America: Brave New World,” starring Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, is rescheduled for February 14, 2025. It was originally scheduled to be released on July 26, 2024. This shift impacts the release date for “Blade,” featuring Mahershala Ali.

In Captain America 4, Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson, inheriting the Captain America mantle from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). The film also features returning actors from “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and surprising comebacks from Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler. Additionally, Harrison Ford joins the Marvel franchise as Thunderbolt Ross.

And the Thunderbolts team-up shifting to July 25, 2025. Notably, Deadpool 3 stands as the sole Marvel Studios movie scheduled for 2024, while 2025 will witness the release of “Brave New World,” “Thunderbolts,” “Blade,” and “Fantastic Four.”

The 2025 slate for Disney appears crowded, including the live-action Snow White remake and Pixar’s Elio. As well as “Mufasa: The Lion King” directed by Barry Jenkins, and several other projects will release in 2025.

On a related note, Sony adjusts its superhero calendar, moving the third Venom movie to November 8, 2024. In 2024, Sony is set to release more comic book movies than both DC and the Marvel Cinematic Universe combined.
