Catfish Jean Joins Growing Cast of Hulu’s ‘Prison Break’ Reboot

Hulu’s Prison Break reboot is adding to its roster. Catfish Jean (Sugar, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez) is among seven new cast members joining the series, alongside Noah Emmerich (Dark Winds), Augie Duke (Mayans M.C.), Brad Beyer (Jericho), Greg Vrotsos (Mayans M.C.), Daniel David Stewart (Reacher) and Michael Mosley (Ballard).

Currently in production in Los Angeles, the series follows a soldier-turned-corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she will go for someone she loves. The series stars Myles Bullock as Darius “Red,” Drake Rodger as Tommy, Clayton Cardenas as Michael “Ghost,” JR Bourne as Junior and Georgie Flores as Andrea.

Jean recurs as Big Country, an intimidating member of a prison gang. Emmerich recurs as Callum Faulls, the highly respected West Virginia power broker father of Jackson, played by Lukas Gage. Duke recurs as Iris, a prisoner who shares a deep maternal bond with Cheyenne, played by Kelli Berglund. Beyer recurs as Captain David Ryan, a corrections officer captain. Vrotsos recurs as Dempsey, a prison guard with a strong sense of loyalty. Stewart recurs as Cody, a new convict unprepared for life in prison. Mosley recurs as Maynard Gibbs, a by-the-book lieutenant suspicious of Cassidy, played by Emily Browning.

Elgin James serves as showrunner and executive producer. Dawn Olmstead, who executive produced the original series, returns as executive producer alongside Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. Prison Break comes to Hulu from 20th Television.
