The show stars Cedric the Entertainer as Calvin Butler, Max Greenfield as Dave Johnson, Tichina Arnold as Tina Butler, Beth Behrs as Gemma Johnson, Sheaun McKinney as Malcolm Butler, Marcel Spears as Marty Butler, and Hank Greenspan as Grover Johnson.

“The Neighborhood” premiered in 2018 and centers on the lives of the Butlers and the Johnsons, next-door neighbors with very different backgrounds. The comedy explores themes of friendship, community, and cultural differences in a lighthearted and relatable manner.

CBS’s decision to renew the show for another season comes as no surprise, given its consistent viewership. Season-to-date, “The Neighborhood” has maintained a strong audience, drawing over 5.8 million total weekly viewers with Live+7 playback.

Alongside the renewal of “The Neighborhood,” CBS also announced renewals for other popular series, including “NCIS” (for Season 22), “FBI” (for Seasons 7, 8, and 9), “FBI: International” (for Season 4), and “FBI: Most Wanted” (for Season 6).

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, emphasized the importance of shows like “The Neighborhood” and “NCIS” in representing CBS’s successful blend of comedy and drama. She praised their authentic storytelling, humor, and family dynamics, which resonate with a wide audience.

Fans can look forward to the remaining episodes of “The Neighborhood” Season 6, which include significant developments such as the birth of Marty and Courtney’s first child. The season finale is scheduled for May 6, promising an exciting conclusion to the current storyline.

As CBS continues to prioritize diverse and compelling content, viewers can anticipate more engaging stories and memorable moments in the upcoming seventh season of “The Neighborhood” and across the network’s lineup of acclaimed shows.
