Chris Redd and Pardison Fontaine Join Cast of Starz's 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' for Season 4

Starz’s ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ continues to build momentum with the addition of Chris Redd (‘Bust Down’) and rapper Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine (‘Rap Sh!t’) to its Season 4 cast.

‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ offers a deep dive into the early life of the iconic villain Kanan Stark, originally portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the original ‘Power’ series. The show chronicles Kanan’s evolution from an innocent teenager to a ruthless crime boss. Season 3 delivered a high-stakes showdown between Kanan (Mekai Curtis) and his mother Raq (Patina Miller), resulting in shocking twists and the triumphant return of a beloved character.

Chris Redd will portray Early Tyler, a character described as a “trustworthy ally and secret-keeper.” Tyler is a respected figure in the neighborhood, known for his loyalty, though his friendship comes at a high price. Pardison Fontaine will take on the role of B-Rilla, a raw, volatile, and immensely talented young rapper currently serving time for armed robbery. Lou-Lou, played by Malcolm Mays, recognizes B-Rilla’s potential and aims to sign him.

The series also stars London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore with Sibongile Mlambo and Paul Ben-Victor, added for the fourth season as well.

Mlambo will play Imani Okoye, a smart and confident executive at a boutique record label, while Ben-Victor takes on the role of Phil Russo, Jersey’s new crime boss known for his commanding presence and stoic confidence in business negotiations.

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” is currently in production in New York for its fourth season, with an early renewal already secured for a fifth season. Sascha Penn returns as showrunner and executive producer, alongside executive producers Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Mark Canton.

In addition to the renewal of “Raising Kanan,” Starz announced its development of a new prequel series titled “Origins,” which will delve into the backstory of iconic characters Ghost and Tommy. This marks the fourth spin-off of the immensely popular “Power” series, joining “Power Book II: Ghost” and “Power Book IV: Force.”
