Christian Robinson (‘BMF’) is the last addition to Ryan Coogler‘s supernatural thriller for Warner Bros.
Robinson joins the cast, led by Michael B Jordan and stars Delroy Lindo, Omar Benson Miller, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku. Jack O’Connell, Hailee Steinfeld, Li Jun Li, Lola Kirke, Emonie Ellison, Ja’Quan Monroe-Henderson, yao, Miles Caton, and Peter Dreimanis round out the cast.
While the specifics of the film remain shrouded in secrecy, industry insiders hint that it will unfold against the backdrop of the Jim Crow-era South, possibly weaving in elements of Southern supernatural folklore such as vampires. Rumors also swirl around Jordan’s character, rumored to encompass dual roles as twin brothers, adding an intriguing layer to the narrative.

Coogler, known for his directorial brilliance in groundbreaking films like “Black Panther,” not only crafted the script but is also producing the project through his banner, Proximity Media. Alongside him in production are Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian, with executive producers including Rebecca Cho, acclaimed composer Ludwig Göransson, and Will Greenfield.
The project marks a significant win for Warner Bros, who secured the rights in a competitive bidding war, negotiating a unique deal that grants certain rights back to the filmmaker over time. With a scheduled release date of March 7, 2025, and plans for Imax screenings, the film is poised to make waves in the horror genre.
