Devin Kessler is one of three actors rounding out the series regular cast of Crystal Lake, Peacock’s upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series. Kessler joins Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom as the latest additions to the ensemble, which already includes Linda Cardellini and William Catlett.

Cardellini will star as Pamela Voorhees, the infamous and vengeful mother of Jason Voorhees, while Catlett will play a character named Levon Brooks. Kessler is set to portray Briana Brooks, with Scoggins playing Dorf and Sundstrom taking on the role of Grace.

Crystal Lake is created and executive produced by Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), who also serves as writer and showrunner. The series is being produced by A24, with additional executive producers including Victor Miller (the original film’s screenwriter), Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, and Tyson Bidner.

Directors for the season include Michael Lennox (episodes 101–103), Celine Held and Logan George (episodes 104–106), and Quyen Tran (episodes 107–108).

While specific plot details remain under wraps, Crystal Lake is expected to dive into the backstory of Pamela Voorhees and explore the twisted history of the iconic campgrounds—setting the stage for the origin of one of horror’s most legendary figures.

This marks the first Friday the 13th-related series since Friday the 13th: The Series, which aired from 1987 to 1990, and the first major expansion of the franchise since the 2009 feature reboot.

Kessler is represented by TalentWorks, Strand Entertainment, and attorney Ryan Goodell. Scoggins is repped by Nicolosi, Perennial Entertainment, and Shreck Rose Dapello. Sundstrom is repped by Coast to Coast Talent, Kyle Fritz Management, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

With its core cast now complete, Crystal Lake is one step closer to resurrecting the chilling legacy of the Voorhees name.
