Druski Takes Shots at Black British Actors in New Skit That Gains Millions of Views in Under 24 Hours

The comedian’s most ambitious production yet has the internet in a frenzy.

Druski is back — and this time, he’s got his sights set on Hollywood’s casting choices.

The comedian, born Drew Desbordes, has released his latest high-budget skit titled British Actors are Taking All the Roles, and the internet has responded accordingly. Within 24 hours of posting, the nearly two-minute video racked up over 20 million views and 1.7 million likes across platforms — numbers that rival actual film trailers.

The sketch follows fictional British actor Sampson DuBois as he navigates a string of quintessentially American roles, starting with a slavery-era film called Release the Shackles. When a white director asks DuBois for “more American slave,” the character interprets the note as an opportunity to focus on dialogue and “back-and-forth banter.” The disconnect only deepens from there — through mock award show speeches, Entertainment Tonight sit-downs, and a TMZ-style ambush interview where DuBois is asked if he thinks he’s better than Black Americans.

“Better than who, bruv? Black people? Stop it!” he fires back.

The production quality alone has people talking. Full cotton field sets, dramatic scoring, red carpet appearances, and a cast of extras have viewers comparing the skit to an actual feature film — with some speculating the budget could run well into seven figures for what is ultimately under two minutes of content.

Druski has all but confirmed the inspiration behind the character, posting a photo of British actor Damson Idris on Instagram with the simple caption: “New skit.”

The response from fans and fellow creatives has been overwhelming. Athletes and creators including Robert Griffin III and DJ Akademiks praised the satire, with many drawing comparisons to Dave Chappelle and Key & Peele.

The skit marks the latest chapter in Druski’s evolution from social media comedian to full-scale content producer — following previous skits targeting Conservative women and megachurch pastors.
