Erika Alexander and Kim Coles Launch ‘ReLiving Single’ Podcast, A Love Letter to One of TV’s Most Iconic Sitcoms

Erika Alexander and Kim Coles are back—this time in audio form—with a project that’s part rewatch, part reunion, and all heart. The Living Single legends are teaming up for ReLiving Single, a brand-new podcast that dives deep into the show that helped redefine Black sitcoms and friendship for a generation.

The series premieres Wednesday, May 7 and comes courtesy of Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat and Color Farm Media. Billed as “the official unofficial rewatch,” ReLiving Single is more than just nostalgia—it’s a celebration of legacy, sisterhood, and storytelling that still hits today like Regine’s one-liners and Khadijah’s side-eyes.

Each week, real-life besties Alexander and Coles pull the curtain back on their time starring in Living Single—the culture-shifting ‘90s comedy that made Brooklyn feel like home and showed Black women as complex, successful, hilarious, and real. Expect everything from wild behind-the-scenes moments to surprise guest appearances, and of course, the kind of lived-in friendship that can only come from doing life (and TV history) together.

“Getting to relive Living Single with Erika — and with all of you — feels like opening a time capsule packed with love, laughter, and a little extra lip gloss,” said Coles. “I can’t wait to spill the tea, share the joy, and celebrate the magic that made us all family.”

Alexander added: “ReLiving Single is a multigenerational conversation that remains evergreen because of the love our fans have for us and the show. And they want more! So we put together an all-star lineup to reminisce, drop life-lesson gems and give a masterclass on comedy and showbiz. You’ll hear stories you’ve never heard before—but the best part of the rewatch series is on screen, Kim and I, like a pair of vampires, ain’t aged a day!”

And this isn’t just a stroll down memory lane—it’s an intentional move to center the voices of the creatives who helped build Living Single into a cultural cornerstone.

“We’ve seen the massive impact that Living Single has had on the culture,” said Eric Eddings, SVP of Digital & Platforms at Hartbeat. “From inspiring generations of journalists and lawyers to reshaping what it meant to be a Black woman in ‘90s America, the show still feels fresh. ReLiving Single will highlight the people behind that legacy—people like Erika and Kim—who were in it, lived it, and are ready to tell it.”

The podcast is executive produced by Kevin Hart, Jeff Clanagan, Eric Eddings, Lesley Gwam (Hartbeat), and Erika Alexander and Ben Arnon (Color Farm Media). Amber Watson and Kim Coles also produce, with Kenny Jackson serving as associate producer.

ReLiving Single joins Hartbeat’s growing slate of audio originals like Gold Minds with Kevin Hart, One Song with Diallo Riddle and Luxxury, and Petty Crimes with Ceara Jane O’Sullivan and Griff Stark-Ennis.

New episodes of ReLiving Single will drop every Wednesday on the official YouTube page, with audio-only versions available on all major podcast platforms.

Whether you grew up quoting Maxine Shaw or just discovered Living Single on a streaming binge, this podcast is your backstage pass to the laughter, the legacy, and the sisterhood that still rings true.
