Kadeem Hardison, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt Gibson, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Among 9 Joining ‘Euphoria’ Season 3, as 7 Original Cast Members Exit

Euphoria Season 3 is officially underway, and it’s bringing some fresh faces while saying goodbye to several familiar ones.

Joining the cast are Kadeem Hardison, who reunites with Zendaya after playing her father on Disney’s K.C. Undercover, Marshawn Lynch (who has steadily added to his IMDB page), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who has been cast as a series regular. Grammy Award winner Rosalía, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, and Toby Wallace also join the cast.

The long-delayed new season will premiere in 2026, four years after the second season aired. The eight-episode season introduces a time jump, moving the characters beyond their high school years.

Returning Cast:

The third season will see the return of several original cast members, including:

  • Zendaya
  • Hunter Schafer
  • Eric Dane
  • Jacob Elordi
  • Sydney Sweeney
  • Alexa Demie
  • Maude Apatow

Colman Domingo will also return as a guest star.

Departures:

Some familiar faces will not be returning. Nika King and Algee Smith have exited the series, joining previously announced departures:

  • Storm Reid (Georgia “Gia” Bennett) — scheduling conflicts with her production company A Seed & Wings
  • Barbie Ferreira (Kat Hernandez) — left due to creative differences
  • Austin Abrams (Ethan Daley) — will not return as Kat’s boyfriend
  • Javon “Wanna” Walton (Ashtray) — killed off in the season 2 finale

The Euphoria family also suffered a tragic loss with the death of Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, on July 31, 2023.

Season 3 is currently being filmed in Los Angeles, with several key crew members returning, including supervising editor Julio C. Perez, IV, director of photography Marcell Rév, and makeup department head Doniella Davy. New faces behind the scenes include Colleen Atwood as co-producer, Natasha Newman-Thomas as costume designer, and Francois Audouy as production designer.

Euphoria continues to be a major success for HBO, earning 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins, including two Best Actress wins for Zendaya and a Best Guest Actor win for Colman Domingo. Directed and executive produced by Sam Levinson, the series is produced in partnership with A24.
