The wait is almost over! Law & Order: Organized Crime is officially returning for its highly anticipated fifth season, and for the first time, it’s streaming exclusively on Peacock. Mark your calendars—April 17 is the big day, and to celebrate, the platform has released a thrilling first-look teaser.

After four seasons on NBC, Organized Crime is making the move to Peacock, becoming the first Law & Order show to switch networks since Criminal Intent jumped to USA Network in 2007. The new season will kick off with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly installments that promise more high-stakes action and drama than ever before.

If the teaser is anything to go by, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) is about to dive headfirst into another dangerous mission. The season’s official synopsis teases a world of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family out for revenge after Stabler’s past actions in Rome. As his enemies close in, he’ll stop at nothing to protect the vulnerable and bring justice to the streets of New York.

The teaser clip offers a glimpse of what’s ahead—Stabler brandishing a baseball bat, an intense showdown with Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) at his side, and a heart-stopping moment where he narrowly avoids a catastrophic crash. “The pain, the things I’ve seen,” Stabler says in the trailer. “All in the pursuit of one thing: justice.”

Alongside Meloni, returning cast members include Truitt, Rick Gonzalez, Ainsley Seiger, and Dean Norris. Season 5 will also introduce some new faces, including guest stars Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Grimm), Olivia Thirlby (Y: The Last Man), and Jason Patric (Speed 2). Mastrantonio will play Isabella Spezzano, a mysterious figure from Stabler’s past, while Patric takes on the role of Detective Tim McKenna.

With Law & Order legend Dick Wolf at the helm as executive producer, alongside Matt Olmstead, John Shiban, Mike Slovis, and Meloni himself, Season 5 is shaping up to be one of the most intense yet.

Peacock has also dropped a new poster with a powerful tagline: “In Stabler we trust.” With that kind of promise, one thing is certain—this fight is far from over.

Don’t miss the action when Law & Order: Organized Crime returns April 17, only on Peacock. Watch the first-look teaser now and get ready for a season that’s bound to keep you on the edge of your seat!
