Gabrielle Union is set to star in the crime comedy Riff Raff opposite Jennifer Coolidge, Brian Cox, and Dustin Hoffman. The project, directed by Dito Montiel and written by John Pollono, is gearing up for filming in September.

“Riff Raff” follows the story of a former criminal whose mundane life takes a chaotic turn when his old family unexpectedly reappears, leading to a long-awaited reckoning. The film promises a blend of crime and comedy, delivering witty and entertaining moments reminiscent of classic crime comedies.
International sales for “Riff Raff” are being launched by Signature at the Cannes Film Festival, while domestic rights are represented by Capstone, CAA Media Finance, and WME Independent.
The production is helmed by producers Noah Rothman from Canopy Media Partners, and Marc Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel from Signature Films. Jennifer Coolidge and Brian Cox join the project fresh off their success in “The White Lotus” and “Succession,” respectively. Gabrielle Union, known for her roles in “Truth Be Told” and “Bring It On,” is also set to appear in Netflix’s “The Perfect Find.” Legendary actor Dustin Hoffman recently wrapped up filming on Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and “Kung Fu Panda 4.”
Marc Goldberg expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with the producers and Dito on this project; we’ve loved it ever since we’ve read it. It embodies the type of crime comedies we grew up with – witty and entertaining. Not to mention the perfect cast that will bring these colorful characters to life.”
The film boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers, including Adam Paulsen, John Pollono, Chris Dennis from Canopy Media Partners, and Christian Mercuri from Capstone. Brian Cox, Mathew Lesher, Jennifer Coolidge, and Tiffany Kuzon also serve as additional executive producers.
