The series will follow the plot of the novel, a suspenseful thriller that features two Black women, Lily and Ginny. Lily, the suspected murderer of her husband, is being pursued by Ginny, a detective working on the case. As they cross paths, they start to unravel each other’s secrets and true identities.

The project is executive produced by Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson for A+E Studios, Range Media Partners, and Union via her production company, I’ll Have Another Productions. Union’s company is known for creating authentic stories that focus on marginalized communities, with specific points of view. They have previously developed TV projects for major networks like HBO Max, Freeform, Apple, Showtime, Starz, and Netflix. They have also sold film projects to major studios like Universal, MRC, and Disney, as well as streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon.
