NBC has announced a series order for ‘Grosse Pointe Garden Society,’ a new drama centered around the lives of suburban garden club members entangled in murder and mischief. The show stars Aja Naomi King, Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Nancy Travis, and Felix Avitia.
Produced by Universal Television and Minnesota Logging Co., Grosse Pointe Garden Society is the brainchild of writers Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs. The upcoming drama centers around four members of a suburban garden club, namely Birdie (played by Fumero), Alice (Robb), Brett (Rappaport), and Catherine (King). These characters, hailing from diverse backgrounds, find themselves entangled in murder and mischief amidst their quest to nurture their conventional lives into flourishing ones.
King’s character, Catherine, is depicted as an unhappily married mother actively involved in the Garden Society, juggling her real estate career while harboring a tantalizing secret. Check out her first look image below.
Robb steps into the role of Alice, a high school English teacher whose aspirations are colliding with harsh realities. Davis portrays Joel, a police officer grappling with personal and professional challenges, while Hodge embodies Doug, Alice’s husband, navigating unfulfilled dreams and a sense of stagnation.
Executive producers include Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs, Casey Kyber, and Maggie Kiley, who also directed the pilot. The show’s official synopsis promises a blend of drama and intrigue, focusing on how the characters’ lives bloom amidst chaos.
NBC has yet to determine whether Grosse Pointe Garden Society will premiere during the midseason or be held for the 2025-26 season. This new drama was recently greenlit along with another new series, the Stephen Amell-led Suits: L.A.
While there is no premiere date for ‘Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC will introduce a lineup of new dramas and comedies this fall including “Brilliant Minds,” “The Hunting Party,” “St. Denis Medical,” and “Happy’s Place.”
