Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Theo James Join Cast of ‘Fuze’ as Filming Commences in London

Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Theo James have joined the cast of “Fuze,” alongside Sam Worthington (Under The Banner Of Heaven) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven: The Hunter).

Directed by David Mackenzie (Hell or High Water), principal photography for the suspenseful thriller commenced this week in London.

Penned by Ben Hopkins, “Fuze” centers on the gripping scenario of a long-buried World War II bomb unearthed in the heart of London, triggering a large-scale city evacuation. Elham Ehsas (Homeland) and Honor Swinton-Byrne (The Souvenir) complete the ensemble.

Produced by Gillian Berrie (Outlaw King) and David Mackenzie for Sigma Films, along with Sebastien Raybaud (The End We Start From) and Callum Grant (Jackdaw) for Anton, the film is fully financed by Anton.

Giles Nuttgens, known for his work on “Hell or High Water,” serves as the director of photography. The creative team includes Christine Blundell (Topsy Turvy) for hair and makeup, Nigel Egerton (The Hollow Crown) for costume design, and Amanda McArthur (See How They Run) for production design. Casting direction is managed by Des Hamilton (Top Boy, Jojo Rabbit).

Director David Mackenzie expressed his enthusiasm for filming in London, highlighting the exceptional British talent involved in the project. Producer Gillian Berrie echoed his sentiment, noting the script’s strength and the team’s readiness to deliver a captivating cinematic experience. “Fuze” is set for theatrical release in the UK and Ireland by Sky, with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent handling US rights alongside Anton.
