Paramount+ has released the official trailer for Dear Santa, a new Christmas comedy from renowned filmmakers Peter and Bobby Farrelly, who are known for hits like Dumb & Dumber and There’s Something About Mary. The film will debut exclusively on Paramount+ on November 25, kicking off the holiday season with a story packed with comedic chaos.

In Dear Santa, a young boy (played by Robert Timothy Smith) accidentally sends his Christmas wish list to the wrong “Santa” due to a spelling error. Instead of receiving holiday cheer, he unwittingly invites the troublemaking antics of a character played by Jack Black, who sets out to disrupt the festivities. The film’s cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Jaden Carson Baker, Brianne Howey (Ginny & Georgia), Hayes MacArthur (Angie Tribeca), musician Post Malone, P.J. Byrne (The Boys), and Kai Cech, adding even more comedic talent to this holiday escapade.

This holiday season, Dear Santa marks the Farrelly Brothers’ return to their roots in outrageous comedy, blending their signature humor with a festive twist. As Paramount+’s first original Christmas film, Dear Santa will also be part of the platform’s holiday collection, ’Tis the Season for Streaming, which offers a selection of holiday movies, TV episodes, and family-friendly specials.
Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S. can stream Dear Santa beginning November 25, with UK and Australian audiences gaining access the following day. The film will also be available for digital purchase. Additional international premiere dates are expected to follow soon.
