Faith & Purpose Productions has announced the writing team that will complete the first season of 3 Blind Mice, the indie series created by Imani Nia Robinson, whose 11-time award-winning pilot has been building buzz since its debut.

The series follows Naeemah, a young Black woman raised by white adoptive parents in Massachusetts who transfers to an HBCU in Baltimore in search of her Black identity. There, she finds two women whose post-college struggles mirror her own, set against the backdrop of a city Robinson has made central to the project’s identity.

“This project has always been about highlighting Baltimore and creating opportunities for new talented storytellers while producing a series that is both culturally relevant and emotionally resonant,” Robinson said.

Leading the room as supervising producer is D. Watkins, the New York Times bestselling author and We Own This City writer whose deep Baltimore roots make him a natural fit for the series. Staff writers include actor and Grammy-nominated recording artist Tristan “Mack” Wilds, WGA writer Latasha Mercer, who holds a script development deal with Netflix, twin writer-producers Nakisha and Nichole Aliece Celistan of Silent Twins Media, Ricardo Spence, and Larry Richardson II.

The writers’ room also includes assistants Nalani Dowling, Symone Cypress, and Taj Whitt-Ordone round out the room.

The writers’ room kicks off this July. Robinson executive produces alongside Noni Robinson. 3 Blind Mice is currently in active development.
