Javon Johnson Among New Cast to Join 'The Lincoln Lawyer' Season 4

Javon Johnson is stepping into The Lincoln Lawyer universe for its upcoming fourth season—and he’s not coming quietly. The The Oval and American Soul actor is one of several new faces joining the legal drama this season, alongside Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jason O’Mara, and world-renowned chef Nancy Silverton, who will appear as herself in a cameo.

Season 4 picks up in the aftermath of last season’s jaw-dropping cliffhanger, which ended with Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) being pulled over and arrested after the body of a former client was discovered in the trunk of his Lincoln. But this time, Mickey isn’t defending someone else—he is the client. The new season follows his uphill battle to prove his innocence as he goes on trial for murder, all while going head-to-head with tough prosecutor Dana Berg (Constance Zimmer), who has a complicated history with his ex-wife, Maggie (Neve Campbell).

Based on Michael Connelly’s The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, the 10-episode season is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Returning to the courtroom this season are Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Neve Campbell, who returns full-time as Maggie McPherson after a scaled-back role last season. Elliott Gould is also back as Mickey’s trusted legal mentor, David “Legal” Siegel, and Krista Warner reprises her role as his daughter, Hayley Haller.

Also previously announced to join the expanding cast are Marcus Henderson, Gigi Zumbado, Kyle Richards, Jason Butler Harner, and Scott Lawrence—each adding new dimensions to the already layered ensemble.

As for the new additions, here’s who they’ll be playing:

  • Javon Johnson will portray Carter Gates, a decent, hardworking man who’s managed to leave his past legal troubles behind—until he’s suddenly and wrongfully accused of murder.
  • Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Jeanine Ferrigno, a sharp-tongued, street-savvy woman from Glendale with ties to the criminal world. She’s dating a local gangster and becomes tangled in a scheme that could hold critical information for Mickey’s defense.
  • Jason O’Mara steps in as Jack Gilroy, Maggie’s current boyfriend. A fit and charming orthopedic surgeon to SoCal’s elite athletes, Jack’s presence brings tension to Mickey’s already-complicated personal life.
  • Nancy Silverton, the celebrated chef and restaurateur behind LA’s Osteria Mozza, makes a guest appearance playing herself, adding a dash of culinary credibility to the show’s Los Angeles roots.

The Lincoln Lawyer was created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, who returns as co-showrunner alongside Dailyn Rodriguez. The series continues to blend sharp courtroom drama with a deep love for the city of Los Angeles and its gritty, noir undercurrent.

There’s no release date just yet, but with Mickey Haller facing his most personal case to date—and a guest lineup full of fresh intrigue—Season 4 is already shaping up to be one of the show’s most gripping chapters. Until then, you can stream Seasons 1–3 now on Netflix.
