The wait for the Jordan Peele’s next film has a new end date: October 23, 2026. Peele himself shared the news on social media, though details about the project remain shrouded in secrecy.

This mysterious film marks Peele’s fourth directorial effort, following the critically-acclaimed “Get Out,” “Us,” and “Nope.” While plot, cast, and genre remain unknown, fans can probably expect the signature suspense and social commentary Peele has become known for.

The wait for Peele’s latest project is a bit longer than originally anticipated. The film was previously scheduled for a December 2024 release, but was pushed back due to delays caused by the writer and actor strikes that rocked Hollywood in 2024. This disruption also impacted another Monkeypaw Productions film, originally slated for September 2024.

In the meantime, horror fans can look forward to Peele’s upcoming production “Him,” starring Marlon Wayans, arriving in September 2025. The Universal Pictures and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is a psychological horror film set in the world of football. The film is set to hit theaters on September 19, 2025.

Directed by Justin Tipping, “Him” stars Marlon Wayans as a legendary quarterback who takes on the role of mentoring a young rising star played by Tyriq Withers. The story unfolds as the young athlete joins the aging quarterback at his secluded compound for training.

Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, comedian Jim Jefferies, and hip hop artists Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack also star in the feature. The screenplay for “Him” comes from Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie.
