The Olympic Highlights are about to get funny thanks to Kevin Hart and Snopp Dogg.
The duo, which starred in the 2004 comedy Soul Plane are teaming up to host the Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg for NBC’s streaming platform Peacock.
Snoop and Hart will be giving comedy commentary on the Tokyo Olympics. They will be guiding viewers through the games, covering the athleticism as well as the moments that don’t go according to plan.
Hart’s LOL Studios, which signed a multi-year streaming deal with Peacock in 2020, will produce the show. This news was initially confirmed during the NBCUniversal Upfronts presentation. However, at the time no details on what actual show it would be were given.
Paul Pawlowski will serve as showrunner and executive producer, along with executive producers Hart, Jeff Clanagan, and Candice Wilson Cherry.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Olympics will go on this summer from July to August in Tokyo, Japan.

The Tokyo Games is still taking place amidst heavy restrictions. Only domestic spectators are allowed inside the venues that are only allowed to be filled at 50% capacity. However, if the pandemic situation worsens, they may hold the games without spectators.
In addition to Hart and Snoop, late-night host Amber Ruffin will offer her commentary for the streaming service from the ground in Tokyo. Cari Champion and Kenny Mayne will co-anchor Tokyo Tonight. It is a quick-turnaround highlights and interviews program. Lindsay Czarniak, Lolo Jones and MJ Acosta-Ruiz will anchor On Her Turf. It will be focus on women’s sports at the Olympics.
