Apple TV+ has officially revealed the global premiere date and trailer for its ten-episode series, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.” Set your calendars for Friday, November 17, when this captivating show will make its worldwide debut. Alongside this announcement, Apple TV+ has treated fans to a glimpse of additional images from the series, building even more anticipation among viewers.

“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is a series rooted in Legendary’s Monsterverse and boasts a star-studded cast featuring the likes of Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski. The premiere will kick off with an intriguing start, airing the first two episodes on November 17, followed by a weekly release of subsequent episodes every Friday until January 12.

The series dives into a post-apocalyptic world following the epic battle between Godzilla and the Titans, which left San Francisco in ruins. It also brings to light the shocking revelation that monsters are real. “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” follows the journey of two siblings who embark on a quest to uncover their family’s deep-rooted connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Their search for answers leads them into the mysterious world of monsters and eventually takes them down a rabbit hole of intrigue surrounding Army officer Lee Shaw, portrayed by both Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. The narrative is split between the 1950s and a time half a century later when Monarch faces an imminent threat linked to Shaw’s knowledge. This multi-generational saga promises to unveil long-buried secrets and explore how monumental events can resonate through time.

Behind the scenes, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is co-developed and executive produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. Matt Shakman takes the directorial helm for the first two episodes and serves as an executive producer alongside Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita are executive producers representing Toho Co., Ltd., the renowned owner of the Godzilla character. This collaboration between Toho and Legendary signifies their enduring partnership within the Godzilla franchise.
