Little Brother hits Netflix on June 26.
Netflix has released the first trailer for Little Brother, and it looks like exactly the kind of chaos the pairing of John Cena and Eric Andre promises.
Cena plays Rudd, a real estate agent who has spent years building the perfect life. Good career, loving family, everything in its right place. That all falls apart when Marcus, played by Andre, resurfaces after a car accident with nowhere to go and no intention of making things easy. The two were not brothers by blood but were paired through a Big Brother-style charity program in high school and have not spoken since. When Rudd’s wife Deirdre, played by Michelle Monaghan, convinces him to take Marcus in, what follows is exactly what you would expect when an agent of pure chaos moves into a controlled environment.
Andre summed it up as “What About Bob? meets Parasite.” Cena put it a different way. “We try so hard to create our own perfect environment, and in short, this movie is exactly what happens when you get your environment absolutely perfect, and then you encounter a s— storm.”
Rounding out the cast are Christopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Ben Ahlers, Bryce Gheisar, and Pilot Bunch.
Behind the camera is Matt Spicer, returning to features nearly a decade after his debut Ingrid Goes West. The script comes from Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, with Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad of Middle Child Pictures producing.
