Mark Taylor, Eve Edwards to Star in Lifetime Movie 'The Bad Orphan'

Lifetime has given the green light to a compelling new original movie titled ‘The Bad Orphan,’ starring Mark Taylor, Eve Edwards, Betsy Brandt, and newcomer Chloe Coco Chapman in her television debut. Brandt is also attached as executive producer.

The movie delves into the psychological drama surrounding Jessica (played by Brandt) and Karl (played by Taylor), a couple who are loving parents to Rhiannon (Edwards). And after years of yearning for a child, adopt Gabby (played by Chapman), an 8-year-old orphan facing personal challenges. What initially seems like a dream come true for the family takes a dark turn as they discover troubling aspects of Gabby’s behavior, raising questions about her true nature.

As tensions escalate and secrets unravel, the film explores the complexities of family dynamics and the challenges of navigating trust and suspicion within a supposedly perfect family unit. With Michelle Ouellet directing and a script penned by Doris Egan, ‘The Bad Orphan’ promises to captivate audiences with its intense storyline and stellar performances.

Produced by Neshama Entertainment in collaboration with MarVista Entertainment, ‘The Bad Orphan’ is set to be a standout feature in Lifetime’s upcoming programming. With executive producers including Keith Nietupski, Bonnie Zipursky, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, Fernando Szew, Arnie Zipursky, Dayna Zipursky, Suzanne Berger, and Betsy Brandt herself, the project brings together a talented team dedicated to delivering a compelling and thought-provoking viewing experience.

Currently in production, the movie will air as part of Lifetime’s summer slate.
