Netflix has set June 6 as the debut date for the third and final season of the fantasy drama “Sweet Tooth.” Alongside this announcement, the streaming giant unveiled a thrilling new teaser trailer and confirmed that Kelly Marie Tran is joining the cast as a new series regular.

In the upcoming season, viewers will witness the aftermath of the intense battle at Pubba’s Cabin where Gus (played by Christian Convery), Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), Becky (Stefania LaVie Owen), and Wendy (Naledi Murray) vanquished General Abbot. The narrative evolves as they embark on a treacherous journey to Alaska in search of Gus’s mother, Birdie (Amy Seimetz), who has been delving into the origins of the deadly Sick.

Joining the ensemble is Dr. Singh (Adeel Akhtar), whose motivations may clash with the group’s mission. Meanwhile, a fresh threat emerges led by Helen Zhang (Rosalind Chao), accompanied by her daughter Rosie (Kelly Marie Tran) and the formidable Wolf Boys. Their agenda revolves around restarting human births with Gus at the center of their plans.

The stakes are higher than ever as alliances shift and destinies entwine, leading to a climactic showdown that will decide the fate of both humanity and hybrids alike.

Based on the DC comic series created by Jeff Lemire, “Sweet Tooth” follows Gus, a unique character part deer and part boy, navigating a post-apocalyptic world alongside a diverse family of humans and animal-children hybrids.

The series is executive produced by Jim Mickle, Susan Downey, Robert Downey Jr., Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran, with Evan Moore from Team Downey serving as co-executive producer. Warner Bros. Television is behind the production.

Kelly Marie Tran, known for her roles in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Raya and the Last Dragon,” brings her talent to “Sweet Tooth” as Rosie, adding an exciting dimension to the final season’s cast.
