Nicholas Duvernay is keeping his momentum going. Fresh off his scene-stealing role in Season 3 of The White Lotus, Duvernay has signed on to join the cast of Reminders of Him, Universal’s upcoming adaptation of the bestselling Colleen Hoover novel. Reminders of Him centers on motherhood, forgiveness and the power of one love to heal even the most shattered heart.
He joins a stacked lineup that already includes Tyriq Withers, Maika Monroe, Rudy Pankow, and Lauren Graham. Vanessa Caswill (Love at First Sight) is directing the feature, with Hoover and Lauren Levine penning the script and producing through their Heartbones Entertainment banner.
Reminders of Him follows Kenna Rowan (played by Monroe), a young mother who returns home after serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake. Determined to reunite with the daughter she’s never met, Kenna faces a community unwilling to forgive — but she refuses to back down, fighting for a second chance at motherhood and at life.
Duvernay will play Roman, the bartender at Ward’s Bar — a key location owned by Ledger Ward, the best friend of Kenna’s late boyfriend, Scotty. It’s Roman who offers Kenna a job when no one else will, giving her a fragile but crucial foothold as she rebuilds her life. Graham plays Grace Landry, the mother of Kenna’s late boyfriend, Scotty.
Gina Matthews is also producing via Little Engine Productions, with Robin Fisichella executive producing. Universal’s Christine Sun is overseeing the project for the studio.
Duvernay’s star has been rising steadily. In addition to his standout turn as Zion, the son of Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) on The White Lotus, he’s appeared in Netflix’s Purple Hearts, Peacock’s Bel-Air, The Winchesters, Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living, The Rookie, Magnum P.I., S.W.A.T., and All American.
