Hulu has released the official trailer for Not Suitable for Work, the upcoming comedy series from Mindy Kaling, giving viewers their first real look at the show ahead of its June premiere.
The series centers on five work-obsessed twenty-somethings chasing career success and whatever is left of their personal lives in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood. Think big ambitions, messy personal lives, and the very specific pressure of figuring out who you are while trying to convince everyone around you that you already have it together.
Leading the ensemble are Ella Hunt, Nicholas Duvernay, Jay Ellis, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin. Duvernay plays Kel, a medical student quietly pursuing his dream of becoming an actor on the side. Ellis plays Bill Gibson, a high-powered investment banker who is as influential as he is admired. The show also boasts a deep bench of recurring talent, including Constance Wu, Victor Garber, Greg Germann, Judy Gold, Ego Nwodim, Harry Richardson, Laura Bell Bundy, May Hong, Bhavesh Patel, Emilia Suárez, and Michael Benjamin Washington.
Kaling created the series alongside showrunner Charlie Grandy, who previously worked with her on both The Mindy Project and The Sex Lives of College Girls. The show is produced by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Not Suitable for Work premieres June 2 on Hulu with three episodes, followed by two new episodes weekly through June 23.
