Renowned filmmaker RZA via his RZA Productions and Xen Diagram Media, has begun principal photography in Atlanta this week for the film “One Spoon of Chocolate.” The project, which has been in development since 2011 and is now finally seeing the light of day after 13 years, features a star-studded cast led by Shameik Moore and Paris Jackson.
RZA, known for his multifaceted career in music and film, takes on the roles of director and screenwriter for this project. The original screenplay centers around an ex-military convict seeking refuge in a small town, only to encounter a mix of love, danger, and unexpected challenges.The cast is rounded out by RJ Cyler, Harry Goodwins, Johnell Young, Michael Harney, Rockmond Dunbar, E’myri Crutchfield, and Blair Underwood.

Director of photography Brandon Cox, production designer Ryan Sbarrata, and costume designer Lorraine Coppin collaborate to bring the film’s visual and thematic elements to life.
RZA expressed his enthusiasm for the project, acknowledging its long journey from concept to production. “I’ve never been so excited to start a journey as I am about this. And with the great team and cast I have beside me, we are destined for a classic,” said RZA.
“One Spoon of Chocolate” adds another chapter to RZA’s directorial career, following his debut with “The Man With the Iron Fists” and subsequent projects that showcase his talents in the entertainment industry.
