Netflix has just released a much-anticipated teaser for the upcoming fourth season of Outer Banks. The new season, set to launch in two parts, will drop its first five episodes on October 10, followed by the second batch on November 7.
Fans of the hit series can expect to see familiar faces as the main cast returns, including Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Rudy Pankow as JJ, and Carlacia Grant as Cleo. J. Anthony Crane, Pollyanna McIntosh, Brianna Brown, Rigo Sanchez, Mia Challis, and Cullen Moss have joined the series for the fourth season.
Season 4 kicks off by taking viewers back in time to the lead-up of the previous season’s shocking events. After the Pogues discovered the fabled gold at El Dorado, they return to their home turf in the Outer Banks (OBX) with hopes of settling down. The group has established a new safe haven, affectionately named “Poguelandia 2.0,” where they live together and run a successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop.
However, the tranquility is short-lived. Financial difficulties soon arise, pushing the Pogues back into the high-stakes world of treasure hunting. This time, they’re on a mission to find Blackbeard’s treasure, an offer they can’t refuse despite the risks. The teaser hints at growing tensions and dangerous new enemies who are also in pursuit of the treasure, forcing the Pogues to question everything they’ve done up until now.
Chase Stokes’ character, John B, ominously narrates in the teaser, “We finally did it. We finally found the gold. That’s where the story should’ve ended, but really it was just the beginning.” His words set the tone for what promises to be another thrilling season, filled with twists, challenges, and introspective moments as the group grapples with their past decisions and future risks.
The show’s creators, Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke, continue to steer the series into uncharted waters, teasing a shift in dynamics and the introduction of new villains. According to co-showrunner Josh Pate, the upcoming season will also feature flashbacks that fill in the gaps from the previous season’s 18-month time jump.
As Outer Banks gears up for its fourth season, fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Pogues’ adventure. With all three of the main couples—John B and Sarah, Kiara and JJ, and Pope and Cleo—still going strong, the stakes have never been higher. Drew Starkey, Austin North, and Fiona Palomo also star in the series.
The first part of Outer Banks Season 4 premieres on October 10, with the second part following on November 7. Get ready for another wild ride with the Pogues as they dive back into the dangerous world of treasure hunting.
