Netflix’s 13 Going on 30 reboot continues to build out its cast. Owen Thiele, known for Adults, and Supriya Ganesh, known for The Pitt, have joined the film in the latest round of additions.
They are joined by Taylor Zakhar Perez (Red, White & Royal Blue), Nasim Pedrad (Aladdin), Myra Molloy (Girls Like Girls), Charley McCain (Nocturne), Henry Samiri (The Pitt), Audrina Miranda (Jurassic World Rebirth) and Kai Zen (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3).
The newcomers join a cast that already includes Emily Bader and Logan Lerman in the leads, alongside Adeline Rudolph, Jessica Alba, Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows and Dan Bucatinsky. While unconfirmed, original film stars Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer are also reported to appear, with both actresses spotted on set in Santa Monica filming a scene with Bader.
No plot details have been revealed. The original 2004 Columbia Pictures rom-com followed a 13-year-old girl who magically wakes up as her 30-year-old self and must navigate adulthood while rediscovering who she really is, starring Jennifer Garner opposite Mark Ruffalo and grossing roughly $96 million at the global box office.
Brett Haley directs from a script by Hannah Marks with revisions by Flora Greeson. Garner executive produces alongside Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Donna Roth, Susan Arnold, Scott Hemming, Alyssa Altman, Marks, Gina Matthews and Ted Gidlow. Production is currently underway in Los Angeles.
