Paramount+ Acquires Milli Vanilli Documentary — Sets Fall Release Date

Paramount+ has acquired the rights to the Milli Vanilli documentary which is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, June 10th.

The Milli Vanilli documentary, titled after the duo, Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan, explores their rise to fame and subsequent downfall after it was revealed that they didn’t sing on their records. The film is set to premiere on Paramount+ in the United States as well as in various international markets this fall.

The documentary, produced in collaboration with MRC and MTV Entertainment Studios, delves into the personal journeys of Rob and Fab, who shared a common dream of becoming famous superstars despite their challenging backgrounds. Their debut album achieved immense success in 1989, with platinum sales and a chart-topping hit single that sold millions of copies worldwide. However, their fame came at a price, leading to their infamous undoing.

Directed by Luke Korem, the documentary features exclusive interviews with the actual vocalists, record executives, and key individuals involved in the deception. With this film, Korem aims to reveal the truth behind the sensationalized headlines that have surrounded Milli Vanilli for over three decades. He expresses his enthusiasm for Paramount+ sharing their vision and bringing the documentary to audiences worldwide.
