Blumhouse Productions and Universal have announced the addition of Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahiha to the cast of the upcoming thriller “The Woman in the Yard,” directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Joining them are previously announced cast members Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Russell Hornsby.
The film’s plot remains undisclosed, but anticipation is high given the involved talent. The screenplay is penned by Sam Stefanak, with Jason Blum and Stephanie Allain producing. Executive producers include Collet-Serra, Deadwyler, Gabrielle Ebron, and James Moran. Haley Pigman and Jungyoon Kim are overseeing the project for Blumhouse. The release date has been moved from January 10, 2025, to March 28, 2025.

Peyton Jackson’s previous work includes his film debut in Tyler Perry’s “Nobody’s Fool” and roles in the Emmy-nominated series “Best Foot Forward” and the Blumhouse film “American Refugee.” He has also appeared in “Respect,” “The Harder They Fall,” and “First Christmas.”
Estella Kahiha gained recognition with her role in “The Storied Life of AJ Fikry.” She has also appeared in “Black Family Mafia,” “Fantasy Football,” and Ava DuVernay’s “Origin.” She will be seen in the upcoming season of “Will Trent.”
Russell Hornsby’s filmography includes “Creed II,” “The Hate You Give,” and Hulu’s “Mike.” He stars in the Starz series “BMF” and will appear in Searchlight’s “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat.”
