Looks like the wasteland adventures are far from over.
Prime Video is officially heading back to the vault—again. Ahead of its second season premiere this December, the hit series Fallout has been renewed for a third season.
The series takes place 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse, where survivors from underground luxury vaults re-enter a scorched Earth—only to discover the surface isn’t just hostile, it’s also bizarre, brutal, and weirdly bureaucratic. In the series Ella Purnell stars as Lucy, a sheltered vault-dweller turned reluctant warrior, alongside Kyle MacLachlan as her elusive father Hank, Aaron Moten as Brotherhood of Steel defector Maximus, Walton Goggins as the Ghoul (formerly Cooper Howard), Moisés Arias as Lucy’s brother Norm, and Frances Turner.
In the Season 1 finale, secrets detonated as fast as nukes: Lucy and Norm learn their father may have helped kick off the apocalypse, the Ghoul uncovers the possibility that his pre-war family might still be alive, and Maximus earns a promotion in his now-complicated Brotherhood allegiance. With Hank headed to New Vegas, Lucy and the Ghoul set out to confront Vault-Tec’s leadership and finally get some answers.
Set in the aftermath of Season 1’s explosive finale, Season 2 will follow Lucy MacLean and company as they make their way through the Mojave desert to New Vegas—a fan-favorite location from the Fallout: New Vegas video game. And if Season 1 was any indication, expect more twisted creatures, chaotic world-building, and morally murky survival tactics.
Based on Bethesda’s iconic video game franchise, Fallout premiered in April 2024 and quickly became one of Prime Video’s biggest hits. The show has racked up over 100 million viewers globally, landing in Prime Video’s all-time top three most-watched titles. It also picked up Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama, Lead Actor in a Drama (Goggins), and Writing (Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner).
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner return as showrunners and executive producers alongside Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard (Bethesda Game Studios), and James Altman (Bethesda Softworks). The series is produced by Kilter Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios, Bethesda Game Studios, and Bethesda Softworks.
Season 2 of Fallout will premiere globally on Prime Video in December 2025. Until then, all of Season 1 is available to stream.
