Power Book III: Raising Kanan is back, and Season 4 is gearing up to drop on Starz on March 7 at 8/7c. As anticipation builds, new first-look photos give fans a glimpse of what’s to come. And it’s clear this season will bring the heat with fresh twists, returning characters, and some dangerous new obstacles.
The crime drama continues to follow Kanan Stark, the young villain we’ve come to know from the Power universe, originally portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Now played by MeKai Curtis, Kanan is evolving from a naive teen to a ruthless player in the local drug scene, all while his mother Raquel “Raq” Thomas, played by Patina Miller, navigates her own complex role in the game.
Season 3 left viewers on the edge of their seats with a brutal showdown between Kanan and Raq, leading to shocking deaths and the return of a fan-favorite character. As we move into Season 4, Kanan, Raq, and the Thomas family seem to be starting fresh, wiping the slate clean in pursuit of new beginnings. But don’t be fooled—trouble is never far behind.
The twist? Rival drug kingpin Unique (Joey Bada$$) is alive, and he’s not happy. After surviving what we thought was a fatal attack, Unique is back with a vengeance. Sporting some heavy scars, he is ready to wreak havoc on the Thomas family’s plans.
The official Season 4 synopsis reveals a season of self-discovery and existential reckoning. The Thomas family is faced with an unavoidable truth: No matter how much you change, your core remains the same. Will they embrace who they truly are, or will denying their nature lead them down a deadly path? The difference between life and death could come down to that very decision.
In addition to Curtis, Miller, and Bada$$, Raising Kanan also stars a stellar cast including Tony Danza as the Italian mobster Stefano Marchetti, Wendell Pierce and Erika Woods as Snaps and Pop, London Brown as Marvin Thomas, Malcolm Mays as Lou-Lou Thomas, and Hailey Kilgore as Jukebox. Rapper Pardison Fontaine and former SNL star Chris Redd also join the mix, bringing even more firepower to the season.
Season 4 is set to deliver drama, action, and the kind of tension that has made the Power franchise so irresistible. And don’t worry—Raising Kanan has already been renewed for Season 5, so the excitement isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
