FX’s upcoming horror drama series ‘Grotesquerie’ is set to make its eerie debut on Wednesday, September 25, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with next-day streaming available on Hulu. The upcoming series, created by Ryan Murphy, has added Raven Goodwin to its ensemble cast. The series also stars Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Travis Kelce.

When ‘Grotesquerie’ was first teased, it generated buzz with a cryptic audio clip and the announcement of Nash-Betts and Vance as leading stars. Now, more details have emerged, shedding light on the chilling storyline.

‘Grotesquerie’ centers around a string of horrifying crimes that have left a small community on edge. At the heart of the investigation is Detective Lois Tryon, portrayed by Nash-Betts, who feels an unsettling connection to the crimes, as though someone—or something—is targeting her. Lois is also dealing with personal turmoil at home, including a fraught relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care, and her own inner struggles. With no solid leads, Lois reluctantly accepts the help of Sister Megan, a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian, played by Diamond. Despite her troubled past, Sister Megan maintains faith in humanity’s potential for good, while Lois fears the world is descending into darkness. As they follow the trail of clues, the pair becomes entangled in a sinister conspiracy that only deepens the mystery.

Courtney B. Vance takes on the role of Marshall Tyron, with Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd, Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie, and Tyron Merritt as a character yet to be revealed. Kelce’s role remains a mystery, adding another layer of intrigue to the series.

‘Grotesquerie’ is written and created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken, with direction from Max Winkler, Murphy, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Elegance Bratton. The series is executive produced by Murphy, Woodall, Baitz, Baken, Winkler, Nash-Betts, Vance, Peter Liguori, Nissa Diederich, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson, and is produced by 20th Television.
