Tyriq Withers isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Fresh off the buzz surrounding his upcoming thriller Him, the rising actor has already locked in his next project.

According to Deadline, Withers is set to star opposite Maika Monroe in Universal’s feature adaptation of Reminders of Him, the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover. Vanessa Caswill (Thirteen, Love at First Sight) will direct the film, which dives deep into themes of motherhood, redemption, and the kind of love that refuses to give up — even when everything’s broken.

Originally published in 2022, Reminders of Him has sold over 6 million copies in the U.S. alone, becoming another global hit for Hoover, whose book-to-screen empire continues to expand. The film’s screenplay comes from Hoover herself alongside Lauren Levine. Both are producing under their Heartbones Entertainment banner, with Gina Matthews producing for Little Engine Productions and Robin Fisichella executive producing. Christine Sun will oversee the project for Universal.

This marks yet another big swing for Withers, who’s quickly becoming one of the most intriguing actors to watch. Before Reminders of Him arrives, audiences will see him take center stage in Jordan Peele’s psychological horror film Him, hitting theaters September 19. Withers plays a gifted football player who’s invited to an elite, remote training compound run by an aging legend — played by Marlon Wayans — where nothing is as it seems. The film, produced by Monkeypaw, made waves at CinemaCon with an early preview that has fans and insiders talking.

And that’s not all. Withers is also set to appear in the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, dropping this July, as well as ACE Entertainment’s Family Secrets.

Stay tuned. This fall, Tyriq Withers is everywhere — and Universal clearly knows a good thing when they see it.
